Identity verification protects your data

For Restaurant Customers

If you have made a reservation through WhatsApp or our platform and wish to have your personal data deleted, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Send an Email Request

Email us at reserve@novatra-global.com with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - Customer"

Include the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Phone number used for reservations (including WhatsApp)
  • Email address (if provided during booking)
  • Restaurant name(s) where you made reservations
  • Approximate date(s) of your reservation(s)

Step 2: Identity Verification

To protect your data, we may ask you to verify your identity by sending a verification code to your registered phone number or email. This ensures that only you can request deletion of your data.

Step 3: Confirmation

Once your request is processed, we will send you a confirmation email. Your data will be permanently deleted within 21 days of the verified request, unless we are legally required to retain certain information.

For Restaurant Business Users

If you are a restaurant owner or manager and wish to delete your business account and associated data:

Option 1: Through Your Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Novatra Reverse dashboard
  2. Go to SettingsAccount
  3. Click "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your decision and enter your password

Option 2: Email Request

Email us at reserve@novatra-global.com with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - Business Account"

Include:

  • Your registered business email
  • Restaurant/company name
  • Reason for account deletion (optional)

What Data Will Be Deleted

For Customers:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Reservation history
  • WhatsApp conversation logs
  • Any images you sent (e.g., payment slips)
  • Preferences and special requests

For Business Users:

  • Account credentials and profile
  • Restaurant configuration and settings
  • Menu and table data
  • WhatsApp Business API configuration
  • Analytics and reports

Data We May Need to Retain

Certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records: Retained for 7 years for tax compliance (Malaysian tax laws)
  • Legal disputes: Data relevant to ongoing disputes until resolution
  • Fraud prevention: Limited data may be retained to prevent abuse

Where retention is necessary, data will be anonymized where possible and access will be strictly limited.

WhatsApp Data Deletion

Messages sent through WhatsApp are processed via Meta's WhatsApp Business API. When you request data deletion:

  • We will delete all conversation logs stored in our systems
  • Messages on your personal WhatsApp app are controlled by you
  • To delete messages from your WhatsApp, use WhatsApp's built-in delete feature
  • Meta may retain certain metadata as per their Privacy Policy
